Who To Follow?
It is not always that I use the web interface of twitter, but today when I did after long, I couldn’t help but notice the rather long list in the “Who To Follow” column. If I remember right, that list once contained about 3 people at a time. Now there are no less than 10 people listed there. This makes me think, is twitter setting us up for something? Because, the “Who To Follow” column serves no real purpose anyway. It is a criminal waste of screen real estate, which can otherwise be put to better use - Advertisements.
Twitter is currently in the red, and is looking at several monetising options. So, the question now is, will we see advertisements (not sponsored tweets) on twitter sooner than we think? Maybe.
